Reset the way you reach for French when the conversation is real.

French Speaking Reset is my one-to-one program for intermediate learners who understand French but still hesitate, translate or lose the thread. We work on your real speaking moments—not a generic syllabus.

  • Solid A2 to B2
  • Individual · 45 or 60 min
  • Taught personally by Charles

This could be for you if…

You are not starting from zero—you are trying to make what you know usable.

  • You are an adult at a solid A2 to B2 level.
  • You understand some explanations in English.
  • You can commit to short practice between sessions.
  • You have a real speaking situation or outcome in mind.

I will tell you if it is not the right fit

  • You are a complete beginner who needs foundations first.
  • You are looking for children’s lessons or school tutoring.
  • You only want very low-cost informal conversation.
  • You expect a magic result without practice.
  • You want grammar worksheets as the whole method.

What we do together

Eight weeks of focused practice, feedback and repetition.

I combine live sessions, deliberate reuse and clearly defined voice support so you keep moving between lessons without feeling overwhelmed.

Baseline & priorities

An initial diagnostic, individual progression plan and weekly targets.

Eight live sessions

Eight individual sessions of 45 or 60 minutes using real-life simulations and guided reactivation.

Between-session voice support

Up to two 30-minute voice-support sessions per week for questions, guidance and adjustments between lessons.

Progress evidence

Session feedback, a progress summary, final review and continuation plan.

An indicative eight-week path

We follow your speaking—not a rigid syllabus.

I change the order when your diagnostic shows a different priority. This is the kind of progression we can build together.

  1. 01

    Diagnose the speaking bottleneck

Record a baseline and identify the moments where speech slows or stops.

  2. 02

Stop building every sentence from scratch

Create reusable sentence frames for your recurring situations.

  3. 03

    Retrieve useful structures faster

Practise recall with cues, reformulation and increasingly spontaneous prompts.

  4. 04

Speak for longer without losing the thread

Use signposting to narrate, explain and connect ideas.

  5. 05

    React and ask follow-up questions

Train short reactions that keep an exchange moving.

  6. 06

    Explain and defend an opinion

Add nuance, examples and polite disagreement.

  7. 07

    Handle a high-pressure situation

Simulate one real conversation linked to work, relocation or daily life.

  8. 08

    Final simulation and continuation plan

Compare the final task with the baseline and decide what to practise next.

Good feedback needs clear boundaries

You get my attention—not permanent availability.

Voice support is limited to two 30-minute sessions per week. Use it for questions, guidance and adjustments between lessons; it is not two extra lessons or unlimited correction.

Practical terms

Video lessons

Lessons normally take place on Charles’s private video-learning platform. If an exceptional technical problem occurs, the lesson may be moved to Microsoft Teams.

Payment

Payment in euros by PayPal or bank transfer after enrolment has been confirmed.

Lateness and missed lessons

If a student arrives late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time. If the student has not joined by the halfway point of the booked session, the lesson is considered missed.

FAQ

French Speaking Reset questions

Is eight weeks enough to become fluent?

No. The program does not promise complete fluency or bilingualism. Eight weeks is a defined period for improving a specific speaking bottleneck and building a continuation plan.

What level do I need?

A solid A2 to B2 is the intended range. You should already be able to understand familiar French and produce some connected speech, even if it is slow.

How much homework is required?

Expect short, regular practice between sessions. The exact time is agreed after the diagnostic; consistency matters more than a large generic worksheet pack.

What happens between sessions?

You can use up to two 30-minute voice-support sessions per week for questions, guidance and adjustments between lessons. They are not additional lessons.

How are booking and payment details handled?

After Charles confirms that the program fits your needs, PayPal or bank-transfer instructions and a euro invoice are sent separately. Program sessions are scheduled afterwards.

What if my schedule changes?

The cancellation and rescheduling terms that apply to your program are shared before booking.

Are lessons entirely in French?

Not necessarily. French is used for practice; concise English explanations are available when they make the work clearer and more efficient.

What time zones do you serve?

Lessons are available internationally. Exact time-zone compatibility is confirmed after enquiry.
